Their solutions are deployed across a wide range of mining vehicles, including large trucks, wide-body transporters, and various auxiliary equipment like excavators, bulldozers, and command vehicles. Utilizing their proprietary systems and advanced hardware, they offer comprehensive autonomous driving solutions that cover the entire mining process—from loading and transporting to unloading. Their approach includes efficient collaboration and intelligent scheduling for large-scale operations.

Before adopting Sunboo's rugged tablets, the client relied on standard industrial displays for human-computer interaction. While these displays were initially cost-effective and met the basic needs of mining operations, they proved unreliable in terms of waterproofing, dustproofing, and shock resistance. Their performance issues, such as signal interruptions, data loss, and equipment damage due to dust and vibrations, became evident in the challenging conditions of mining environments. Additionally, the slow response time of resistive touchscreens hindered work efficiency, and the limited number of interfaces restricted connectivity with peripheral devices. As a result, integrating a cohesive and efficient autonomous-driving solution became difficult. The need for a stable and scalable intelligent terminal has since become crucial for the client to effectively implement their autonomous-driving transportation system in mining operations.

The VPC10J panel PC is designed to be an intelligent terminal for mining vehicle operations, offering both scalability and compatibility. It is securely mounted on both production and auxiliary vehicles in the mining area. Equipped with the client’s proprietary autonomous-driving software and running on the Windows 11 operating system, the VPC10J integrates seamlessly with the In-vehicle System, Ground System, and Cloud Control Platform. The client’s autonomous-driving transportation system spans across multiple mining areas and hundreds of vehicles. Leveraging the VPC10J’s extensive connectivity options, including 4G, WiFi, and Bluetooth, seamless communication and information sharing between mining vehicles and the Cloud Control Platform are achieved. During open-pit mining operations, the VPC10J receives command files from the Cloud Control Platform and displays them on its 10.1-inch HD and high-brightness screen. This allows operators of electric forklifts, excavators, bulldozers, and command vehicles to effectively read and transmit instructions to autonomous mining trucks. They can manage vehicle movements, set docking positions, and oversee loading and unloading operations, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
